Aristotle
Aristotle was a Greek philosopher. He studied under Plato at Athens, tutored Alexander of Macedon, and in 335 BCE founded his own school, the Lyceum. His surviving works cover logic, natural science, ethics, politics and poetry; the Politics draws on a collection of Greek constitutions to ask what the best city is and how it can be kept standing.
