Letter 065 — LXV
Original French
Custrin, 26 novembre 1806.

Custrin, November 26, 1806.
I am at Custrin to make some reconnaissance; in two days I shall see whether you should come. You can hold yourself ready. I shall be very glad if the Queen of Holland makes the journey. The Grand Duchess of Baden must write to her husband about it. It is two in the morning; I have just risen; that is the custom of war. A thousand kind thoughts to you and everyone.

Küstrin, November 26, 1806.
I am at Küstrin making some reconnaissance visits. In two days I shall see whether you should come; you can be ready. I would be very pleased if the Queen of Holland made the journey too. The Grand Duchess of Baden should write about it to her husband. It is two in the morning; I have just risen, as one does in wartime. Many kind wishes to you and everyone.
