Letter 135 — CXXXV
Original French
Adieu, mon amie.

Schönbrunn, August 21, 1809.
I have received your letter of August 14 from Plombières; I see from it that you will have arrived on the 18th in Paris or at Malmaison. You must have been ill from the heat, which is very great here. Malmaison must be quite dry and scorched in such weather. My health is good. I have, however, caught a slight cold from the heat. Farewell, my friend.

Schönbrunn, August 21, 1809.
I received your letter of August 14 from Plombières. I see from it that you will have arrived in Paris or at Malmaison on the 18th. You must have been sick from the heat, which is very intense here. Malmaison must be very dry and scorched in this weather. My health is good. Even so, I have a slight cold from the heat. Goodbye, my friend.
