Letter 108 — CVIII

108 of 172 parts in Letters to Josephine by Napoléon Bonaparte

Original French

Adieu, mon amie.

Venice, November 30, 1807.

I have received your letter of November 22. I have been in Venice for two days. The weather is very bad, which has not prevented me from ranging over the lagoons to see the various forts. I am glad to see that you are enjoying yourself in Paris. The King of Bavaria and his family, as well as Princess Élisa, are here. After December 2, which I shall spend here, I shall be on my way back and very glad to see you. Farewell, my dear friend.
