[10.1] With everything that befalls you, remember to turn inward and ask what capacity you possess for making proper use of it. If you see a beautiful man or woman, you will find self-control as the capacity to meet it. If hardship is laid upon you, you will find endurance; if abuse, you will find forbearance. And when you have trained yourself in this way, your impressions will not sweep you away.

[10.1] With everything that happens to you, remember to turn inward and ask what capacity you have for dealing with it. If you see a handsome man or a beautiful woman, you will find self-control as your capacity for dealing with that. If hardship is imposed on you, you will find endurance. If you are insulted, you will find patience. And if you train yourself in this way, your impressions will not sweep you away.
