Isha Upanishad

ॐ पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदं पूर्णात् पूर्णमुदच्यते ।पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय पूर्णमेवावशिष्यते ॥ॐ शांतिः शांतिः शांतिः ॥
1 ॐ ईशा वास्यमिदँ सर्वं यत्किञ्च जगत्यां जगत् ।तेन त्यक्तेन भुञ्जीथा मा गृधः कस्यस्विद्धनम्
2 कुर्वन्नेवेह कर्माणि जिजीविषेच्छतँ समाः ।एवं त्वयि नान्यथेतोऽस्ति न कर्म लिप्यते नरे
3 असुर्या नाम ते लोका अन्धेन तमसाऽऽवृताः ।ताँस्ते प्रेत्याभिगच्छन्ति ये के चात्महनो जनाः
4 अनेजदेकं मनसो जवीयो नैनद्देवा आप्नुवन्पूर्वमर्षत् ।तद्धावतोऽन्यानत्येति तिष्ठत्तस्मिन्नपो मातरिश्वा दधाति
5 तदेजति तन्नैजति तद्दूरे तद्वन्तिके ।तदन्तरस्य सर्वस्य तदु सर्वस्यास्य बाह्यतः
6 यस्तु सर्वाणि भूतान्यात्मन्येवानुपश्यति ।सर्वभूतेषु चात्मानं ततो न विजुगुप्सते
7 यस्मिन्सर्वाणि भूतान्यात्मैवाभूद्विजानतः ।तत्र को मोहः कः शोक एकत्वमनुपश्यतः
8 स पर्यगाच्छुक्रमकायमव्रण-मस्नाविरँ शुद्धमपापविद्धम् ।कविर्मनीषी परिभूः स्वयम्भू-र्याथातथ्यतोऽर्थान् व्यदधाच्छाश्वतीभ्यः समाभ्यः
9 अन्धं तमः प्रविशन्ति येऽविद्यामुपासते ।ततो भूय इव ते तमो य उ विद्यायाँ रताः
10 अन्यदेवाहुर्विद्ययाऽन्यदाहुरविद्यया ।इति शुश्रुम धीराणां ये नस्तद्विचचक्षिरे
11 विद्यां चाविद्यां च यस्तद्वेदोभयँ सह ।अविद्यया मृत्युं तीर्त्वा विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते
12 अन्धं तमः प्रविशन्ति येऽसम्भूतिमुपासते ।ततो भूय इव ते तमो य उ सम्भूत्याँ रताः
13 अन्यदेवाहुः सम्भवादन्यदाहुरसम्भवात् ।इति शुश्रुम धीराणां ये नस्तद्विचचक्षिरे
14 सम्भूतिं च विनाशं च यस्तद्वेदोभयँ सह ।विनाशेन मृत्युं तीर्त्वा सम्भूत्याऽमृतमश्नुते
15 हिरण्मयेन पात्रेण सत्यस्यापिहितं मुखम् ।तत्त्वं पूषन्नपावृणु सत्यधर्माय दृष्टये
16 पूषन्नेकर्षे यम सूर्य प्राजापत्य व्यूह रश्मीन् समूह तेजः ।यत्ते रूपं कल्याणतमं तत्ते पश्यामि योऽसावसौ पुरुषः सोऽहमस्मि
17 वायुरनिलममृतमथेदं भस्मांतँ शरीरम् ।ॐ क्रतो स्मर कृतँ स्मर क्रतो स्मर कृतँ स्मर
18 अग्ने नय सुपथा राये अस्मान् विश्वानि देव वयुनानि विद्वान् ।युयोध्यस्मज्जुहुराणमेनो भूयिष्ठां ते नमउक्तिं विधेम

English
Om. That is full, and this is full. From the full, the full comes forth.Take the full from the full, and the full alone remains.Om. Peace, peace, peace.
1 Om. Everything that moves in this world is covered by the Lord.Live with what you have given up. Do not desire anyone else's wealth.
2 One should want to live a hundred years here, doing one's work.This is the way for you, not another: work does not cling to a person.
3 Those worlds called godless are covered in blind darkness.After death, anyone who destroys the Self goes to those worlds.
4 The One does not move, yet it is faster than the mind. The senses cannot reach it, for it has gone ahead of them.It stays still yet overtakes all who run. Within it, Matarishvan sets the waters in place.
5 It moves and it does not move. It is far away and it is near.It is inside everything, and it is outside everything too.
6 A person who sees all beings in the Self,and sees the Self in all beings, no longer turns away from anyone.
7 For someone who knows that all beings have become the Self,what confusion or grief can there be when they see that all is one?
8 It has reached everywhere. It is bright, without a body, without wounds or sinews, pure and untouched by evil.It sees and understands all, is above all, and exists through itself. It has set things in their true order for all the years to come.
9 Those who devote themselves to ignorance enter blind darkness.Those who delight in knowledge enter what seems an even deeper darkness.
10 They say knowledge brings one result and ignorance another.This is what we have heard from the wise people who explained it to us.
11 Whoever knows knowledge and ignorance togethercrosses beyond death through ignorance and gains immortality through knowledge.
12 Those who devote themselves to non-becoming enter blind darkness.Those who delight in becoming enter what seems an even deeper darkness.
13 They say becoming brings one result and non-becoming another.This is what we have heard from the wise people who explained it to us.
14 Whoever knows becoming and destruction togethercrosses beyond death through destruction and gains immortality through becoming.
15 A golden covering hides the face of truth.Pushan, remove it so that one devoted to truth may see.
16 Pushan, sole seer, Yama, Sun, child of Prajapati, draw back your rays and gather up your light.Let me see your most beautiful form. That person there, there in the sun, is who I am.
17 Let my breath join the immortal air; then let this body end in ashes.Om. Mind, remember. Remember what was done. Mind, remember. Remember what was done.
18 Agni, lead us on the good path to prosperity; god, you know all the ways.Keep us from the sin that leads us astray. We offer you our fullest words of praise.
